Privacy, in plain words · updated 5 October 2026
Super Kids HQ is a private app for families to keep their kids' emergency card, medicines, health records, sizes, packing lists and family calendar in one place. It's run by Pratik Mantri for friends and family, by invitation only. It's free, with no ads.
What it keeps
- What your family puts in: your kids' names, birthdays and whether each is a boy or girl (for the growth charts); vaccines, doctor visits, height and weight; photos and PDFs you upload (prescriptions, reports, and passports, Aadhaar or birth certificates in Travel documents); the emergency card; medicines and doses; sizes, shopping and reading lists, packing lists, classes and family events; and your pets, if you add them: their name, type, breed, birthday, vet and microchip details, allergies and medicines, vaccines and vet visits, and their documents.
- About each person in the family: name, email address (or none, for a nanny who signs in with a code), whether they're a parent or a nanny, and their language.
- Signing in: with Google, the app gets only your email address and name, nothing else from your Google account. It keeps a record of each signed-in phone (when it was last used and which browser) so a parent can see and sign out a nanny's phone.
Where it's kept
On Cloudflare (its Workers, D1 database and R2 file storage), whose servers may be outside India. Everything travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and Cloudflare encrypts stored data. Once a week, a backup of everything (records and uploads) is copied to separate private Cloudflare storage and kept for 3 months, in case something goes wrong.
Who can see it
- Your family's parents see and change everything in your family.
- Your family's nannies see packing, the emergency card, medicines, sizes, the lists and the calendar. They can't see health records, uploads, travel documents, pets or exports.
- Nobody in another family can see anything of yours, including a family you invited or that invited you. Whoever sent your invite link sees only that it was used.
- The admin (Pratik) sees each family's name, how many parents, nannies and kids it has, how many records and uploads it has and how much space they take, when it last used the app, whether it has done the first setup steps (yes or no for: emergency card started, a vaccine added, a second parent joined, the calendar added and in which kind of calendar app), and who sent and who used each invite link for a new family. The app has no screen that shows him your records. As the person who runs it, he could in principle reach the database; he doesn't look at families' records.
- Feedback you send (Settings → Send feedback) goes to the admin with your name, email, family's name, and the phone and screen you sent it from, by email and in the app. It's deleted with your family.
- Your calendar feed (if you add it to your phone's calendar) is a private link: anyone who has the link can see those dates. You can reset it in Settings, which stops the old link working.
What it doesn't do
- No selling or sharing of your data, no ads, no tracking or analytics.
- Email is used only to send sign-in codes, and to pass feedback you send on to the admin.
- Google is used only for signing in.
Your control
- Export everything at any time: Settings → Export everything (records, and a .zip with every upload).
- Remove a kid and everything that's only theirs: Settings → Kids.
- Leave your family (if another parent stays), or delete your family with everything in it: Settings → Delete our family. It's deleted straight away from the app. Copies stay for a while in Cloudflare's automatic restore history (up to 30 days) and in HQ's weekly backups (kept 3 months); after about 3 months it's gone for good.
Health information
Super Kids HQ keeps what your family enters. It isn't medical advice. Doses in the medicine list are the ones you entered; check them with your own pediatrician, and when in doubt, call the doctor.
